The French justice minister, Eric Dupond-Moretti, was ruled not guilty of using his position to settle scores.
The court found that while Dupond-Moretti was in conflict of interest, he had not abused his power.
This case was the first in which a sitting French minister had to face trial before a special court for alleged crimes connected to their official duties. [ more ]
